Dunlap’s biggest annual weekend celebrates the Sequatchie Valley with live music, unique vendors, wagon rides, food trucks, and heritage programming. The Small Town America Festival is a proper community festival — the kind of thing families make an annual trip for. The Canyon at Pond Creek is 30–45 minutes north up the valley, on 447 private acres. Six glamping domes with private hot tubs on every deck give you a real basecamp for the weekend and enough space for the whole family.
Basecamp for a Sequatchie Valley weekend
- Same valley, quieter end. Dunlap sits south in the Sequatchie Valley; The Canyon sits north near Pikeville. 30–45 minutes down the valley to the festival, quiet nights back at the domes.
- Space for the whole family. Six glamping domes sleeping 4–8 each. Bring the kids, the grandparents, the whole reunion.
- More than just the festival. 447 acres of waterfalls, canyon terrain, and plateau rim on the property. Waterfalls Saturday morning before the festival, hot tub on the deck Saturday night.

About the Small Town America Festival
The Small Town America Festival — also called Dunlap Heritage Days — celebrates the Sequatchie Valley’s heritage and community. Multi-day format runs Friday through Sunday with live music (including headliner acts), unique vendors, food trucks, wagon rides, and family-friendly programming. Booking for festival weekend
Direct-book at The Canyon. Arrive Thursday or Friday morning, catch the festival across the weekend, and depart Monday. Local lodging in Dunlap is limited — the plateau north of the valley is the smart play for anyone traveling more than a couple hours for the weekend.
