Most glamping properties give you one dome and a parking spot. Dome 5 gives you a spot on the canyon rim at The Canyon at Pond Creek, sleeps four to six, and comes with something unusual: a stone path that runs from its deck all the way to Dome 4. Traveling as two couples or a bigger family group? Book both domes and you’ve got private space at night and a footpath between you the rest of the time — no other arrangement on the property works quite like it.
Where It Sits
Dome 5 sits on the rim about 90 feet up canyon from Dome 6, on 447 private acres of Cumberland Plateau. From the deck and the private hot tub, you’re looking out over the landscape where the Sequatchie Valley meets the canyon — and at night, skies dark enough to actually see something.
The Stone Path
Step off the deck and a stone path leads out 40–50 feet, then keeps going — all the way to Dome 4. Plenty of guests book Dome 5 on its own and use the path as their evening walk. But the pairing is the real trick: two families, two couples, or a multi-generation trip can take both domes, keep separate beds, bathrooms, hot tubs, and fire pits, and still wander over to each other for dinner without getting in a car. If your group is bigger still, Domes 1 and 2 each sleep 6–8.
Inside the Dome
The main bed is a queen on the ground floor — no ladder required to get to bed. Up in the loft there’s a full bed, and a queen sofa bed downstairs rounds out sleeping for up to six. You get an efficiency kitchen with a two-burner stove, air fryer, and microwave, a compact refrigerator, an outdoor grill, and a full bathroom with hot water and real pressure. Private hot tub on the deck, fire pit out front, firewood currently included.
What’s Out the Door
The property’s trail network connects the rim to the canyon floor — waterfalls, blue holes, and a creek to follow. A 100-foot cliff with 150+ bolted climbing routes sits directly below the property if anyone in your group climbs. Beyond the gate: Fall Creek Falls State Park is 25 minutes away, Savage Gulf is 35, Chattanooga is an hour, and Nashville is two. Our Pikeville area guide has the full rundown.
What to Know Before You Book
The loft bed is reached by ladder — fine for kids and most adults, not for everyone, which is why the main queen stays on the ground floor. The fridge is compact, not full-size; if you’re cooking for six, plan your cooler accordingly (Domes 1, 2, and 6 have full-size fridges). The last two miles in are single-lane gravel mountain road — AWD does fine, 4WD does better, sedans aren’t recommended. The nearest grocery store is 15 minutes away and limited, so bring what you need. Cell service is weak at the gate but reliable at the dome.

Queen on the main floor, full in the loft, sofa bed for the spillover, hot tub on the rim — and a path to a second dome if your group needs it. Seen this one on Airbnb?
