Bull Shoals hosts anglers year-round, with two major tournament series bookending the season:

Bull Shoals straddles the Arkansas–Missouri line in the Ozarks — over 45,000 acres of clean, deep water and 700+ miles of shoreline. It holds smallmouth, largemouth, spotted bass, striped bass, walleye, and crappie. State-record fish have come out of these waters. Spring largemouth runs and fall stripes both draw anglers from across the region, and the lake fishes cleanly year-round.
